pii—two progress markers

Today I made it to the top of the monster hill without stopping (and then, thoroughly winded, walked the next 100 yards!).  This progress marker was accompanied by another: extending my distance to 2.6 km (1.6 miles) in my Five-Fingers (VFF).  I ran it, stopping at the top of Mt. Killamanjogger the first time and 2/3 the way up it the second time, in 15 minutes.

When I got back I rehydrated with an ice-cold glass of pure organic cranberry juice mixed with Gatorade followed by a glass of water.  Woo hoo!

My poor little chicken legs are balking but my knees feel pretty good, my VFF calluses are hardening (I feel the sore spots from today already), my lungs feel good, and my stride and foot-strike feel more and more natural.  Spare tire still shows no signs of deflation.  Oh well, onward ho!
